Online Roulette Overview
Online roulette is played with a wheel that has colored pockets alternating red and black. It was first played in the 1700s in Paris and is still one of the popular table games. A small white ball is then placed in the wheel and spun in the opposite direction and lands on one of the pockets.
Note that therre are variants of online roulette. Avoid American Roulette because it has 38 slots (includes a 0 AND a 00). This gives you weaker odds of winning! European Roulette only has 37 slots (a single 0).
Rules of Roulette:
For each”spin”, a ball is spun around the edge of the wheel, eventually coming to rest in one of the 37 slots. Players can bet on any outcome and can place multiple bets at the same time.
How to place a bet:
Players can place bets on any single number, color, odds and evens or sets between 1 – 12 or 19 – 36.
After the spin, the ball will land on one of the 37 slots and all losing bets will be cleared from the board.
There are also inside bets that can be placed the odds however are lower on these bets (35:1)
Payouts explained
Payouts are usually shown in a format like 8:1, reflecting the approximate probability of the bet. If the ball lands on the number you bet on your payout are the same as your bet.
