Online Baccarat Overview
The most common variation of online baccarat is similar to that found in most Las Vegas casinos. Since the early 1800s, people have played Baccarat in many ways.
In Baccarat, two hands, the player and the banker, are played. The aim of the game is to correctly choose which hand has the higher score. In addition, A bet on Tie, which pays 9 to 1, may also be placed.

- Or a mix of the three of them.
How to place a bet:
This summary is based on play at a RTG Casino. Click on your bet i.e. Player, Banker, or Tie.
Click the chips on the right-hand corner (R2, R10, R100, R200 ) to add any amount you want to bet.
To change amounts just click on the chip on the category you are betting on and it will change, the more you click on the amount the more you increase your bet.
When you are finished placing your bets, click on the green button at the bottom and it will display the cards being dealt. To re-bet the same amount just click the button again or click on the chips to change it.
After the cards are shown you will find out if you have won. On the right-hand corner, it also shows you how much you won.
Payouts explained
- If you bet on Player and win, you get the amount you bet and an additional amount
- When you bet on Banker and win, you win the amount you bet minus a 5% commission.
- Once you bet on Tie and win, you win 9 times your wager and an additional amount.
Baccarat dealing:
Firstly, the Player and Banker are each dealt two cards.
The game is over if the score on either hand totals 8 or 9, and no more cards are dealt to either hand.
If neither hand scored as per above, the game proceeds as follows:
The Player starts according to the following rules:
The Player hand draws another card if its total is 0-5, it does not draw another card, next draw goes to the banker.
If the Banker’s hand doesn’t total 7, 8, or 9, the Banker gets another card.
If the first two cards total 0,1 or 2, then the Banker draws one card.
General rules of Baccarat
Cards
Firstly, only focus on the numbers on the cards.
Secondly, Cards 2 through 9 counts as the numbers on the cards, however, cards 10, Jack, Queen, and King count as 0, and the Ace card counts as 1.
To calculate your hand count the cards you are dealt with.
i.e. 8 + 8 = 16 minus 10 your score 6 or
8 + 8 + 8 = 24 minus 10’s your score 4.
